The Rail Business Awards recognise and reward excellence in every aspect of the industry, from daily operations, safety and customer service to technical innovation and major projects across the UK. The awards are designed to celebrate the many individuals and companies whose vision, innovation and commitment help to shape this industry.

In 2024, the Awards moved to Manchester having been hosted for the previous 26 years in London. After two successful years, the event will again return to Manchester on February 19 2026.

Amid celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, the legislative work to establish Great British Railways as a directing mind for the rail sector continues. As a vision for the future structure of the industry starts to emerge, people and organisation across the full spectrum of rail and metro activity continue to deliver huge societal and economic benefits for Britain, day in and day out. Whether among operators, freight companies, suppliers or within organising authorities, there are achievements to be celebrated across the piece. This is why we look forward to welcoming the rail industry’s trendsetters, innovators, leaders and role-models to Manchester next February.
